Privacy Policy
Overview
Grid KPI Box does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data. There are no proprietary servers, no third-party services, and no tracking of any kind.
Data Storage
All data you enter – including meter readings, notes, contract details and attachments – is stored exclusively on your local device. No data is sent to any proprietary server or third-party service.
On Mac, data is stored in the app's sandboxed directory
(~/Library/Application Support/). On iPad, it is stored in the
app's sandbox container. Both locations are protected from access by other apps
through Apple's app sandbox.
Optional iCloud Sync
You can optionally enable iCloud Drive sync under Settings → Storage Location. When enabled, Grid stores your data file in your personal iCloud container and syncs it between Mac and iPad. Grid uses Apple's iCloud infrastructure exclusively – no Grid server, no third-party service.
iCloud sync is disabled by default. You can turn it off at any time – Grid will copy the data file back to local storage on that device.
Optional Permissions
The app optionally requests access to:
- Calendar: to create a recurring monthly meter-reading reminder in your local calendar. Grid requests write-only access and does not read existing calendar entries. This data stays on your device and is not shared.
- Photos (iPad): Grid uses the system photo picker (PHPickerViewController) to let you select a profile photo. No permission dialog appears and no library-wide access is granted – only the photo you explicitly select is accessible to the app.
No Analytics or Tracking
There are no analytics, no tracking, no advertising, and no user accounts. The app does not contain any third-party SDKs that collect data.

Überblick
Grid KPI Box erfasst, überträgt oder teilt keinerlei personenbezogene Daten. Es gibt keine eigenen Server, keine Drittanbieter-Dienste und kein Tracking.
Datenspeicherung
Alle Daten, die du eingibst – Zählerstände, Notizen, Vertragsdetails und Anhänge – werden ausschließlich lokal auf deinem Gerät gespeichert. Es werden keine Daten an eigene Server oder Drittanbieter übermittelt.
Auf dem Mac speichert Grid im App-Datenbereich
(~/Library/Application Support/), auf dem iPad im App-Sandbox-Container.
Beide Orte sind durch Apples App-Sandbox vor dem Zugriff anderer Apps geschützt.
Optionaler iCloud Sync
Unter Einstellungen → Speicherort kannst du iCloud Drive optional aktivieren. Grid speichert dann deine Datendatei in deinem persönlichen iCloud-Container und synchronisiert sie zwischen Mac und iPad. Grid verwendet dabei ausschließlich Apples iCloud-Infrastruktur – kein Grid-Server, kein Drittanbieter.
iCloud Sync ist standardmäßig deaktiviert. Du kannst ihn jederzeit wieder ausschalten – Grid kopiert die Datendatei dabei zurück auf das lokale Gerät.
Optionale Berechtigungen
Die App fordert optional Zugriff auf:
- Kalender: um einen monatlich wiederkehrenden Erinnerungstermin in deinem lokalen Kalender anzulegen. Grid fordert ausschließlich Schreibzugriff und liest keine bestehenden Kalendereinträge. Die Daten verbleiben auf deinem Gerät und werden nicht weitergegeben.
- Fotos (iPad): Grid verwendet den systemseitigen Foto-Picker (PHPickerViewController) um ein Profilfoto auszuwählen. Es erscheint kein Berechtigungs-Dialog und kein bibliotheksweiter Zugriff wird gewährt – nur das explizit ausgewählte Foto ist für die App zugänglich.
Keine Analyse-Tools oder Tracking
Es gibt keine Analyse-Tools, kein Tracking, keine Werbung und keine Nutzerkonten. Die App enthält keine SDKs von Drittanbietern, die Daten erfassen.
